Rush pins are similar to Kirschner wires but have a trocar-tip and are larger in diameter. They are commonly used in the fixation of fractures, particularly in long bones,humerus, radius, ulna, fibula,child tibia/femur. Rush pins provide stability and can be inserted with or without the guidance of an orthopedic drill.
