On February 11, 2023, the “Training Course on the Treatment of Congenital Limb Deformity” sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Children’s Orthopedics Group of Guangdong Medical Association was successfully concluded in Guangzhou. This conference is a grand event for the academic exchange of high-level medical talents. The conference mainly analyzes and discusses related issues such as new technologies and new concepts for the diagnosis and treatment of congenital malformations of limbs.

During the period, Xu Hongwen, director of Guangzhou Children’s Hospital, gave a theoretical lecture on needle threading and osteotomy skills of external fixation. The basic knowledge of the configuration principle of external bone fixation, the types of fixtor’s metallic bone pins,threading techniques, limb deformity analysis and osteotomy correction methods were introduced. Combined with clinical cases, the deformity analysis and orthopedic reconstruction methods of different parts of the limbs were fully and deeply explained. Detailed introduction, combined with the theory of practical operation, aroused great interest of the participants.
